Yes, Google is all set to launch an Indian version of youtube by January and March 2008. Seeing the rapid growth in sales of mobile phones with camera and digital cameras in India google is sure it would be an even bigger hit. The advantage of having YouTube.in is that highly relevant content to Indians can be put up. It won’t get lost in the millions of other videos
Broadband is also growing fast and this means that higher bandwidth to view videos. No wonder Google is bullish on the Indian YouTube.
Btw YouTube has tied up with Eros Entertainment, a film production and distribution firm, to showcase its new releases, DVDs and other merchandise
